The Black Eyed Susan is a flower similar in use to the Ecinacea. Due to this it has many similar properties, such as using it to help extract snake venom, or to help with inflammation, and it can cause immuno-stimulant activity. The Black Eyed Susan can be found throughout all part of Missouri. The roots and leaves are used for medicinal purposes as a tea or tincture are used to cure swelling, some infection, and minor scrapes. While a poultice is used to treat snake venom.
