Golden Alexander is a yellow flower that grows in moist meadow land and dry rocky areas. It grows to about two feet and flowers from May to June. The root can be used in a tea to lower fever, it is also vulnerary and hypnotic. Other parts of the plant may be toxic. The flower itself can be eaten in salad, and the straight root has been reported toxic.
