Yarrow is an extremely useful herb that grows in dry, sunny areas and blooms from June to September. It typically has white flowers, but when in mountainous areas it has pink or light purple flowers. It grows to be under 3 feet tall on the prairies and is used as a wash to stop bleeding and heal wounds. It can also be taken by the mouth to help with inflammation.
